New technologies, such as blockchain, are bringing about substantial changes in transactions, international transport logistics and regulatory control, challenging business models as well as traditional border control mechanisms and public policies.
Blockchain is a secure, virtual database that provides information about transactions taking place within a group, such as a corporation, a network of suppliers, an investment pool or an international supply chain. This platform provides a distributed, unalterable, encrypted and extremely secure record, which is at the same time transparent and accessible to all participants.
